About Millennium Magic Chorus

Millennium Magic Chorus is a championship and internationally medaling women’s barbershop and a cappella chorus. We are known for our musical excellence, but we also love to be silly, fun, and uplifting. Our culture fosters a genuine sense of belonging, and our directorless structure allows every member to have a voice, take leadership, and build a stronger connection with each other and our audience. We love what we do, love each other, and are passionate about sharing our music with the world. We cannot wait to share this weekend with you.

We are proud members of Sweet Adelines International (SAI), a worldwide women’s singing organization that empowers women to sing, lead, and bring joy to the world through music. SAI is committed to providing free music education to girls and women around the globe, and this workshop is Millennium Magic’s way of doing our part right here in Maine, creating space for women and girls to discover their voices and the joy of harmony.

What We’ll Be Singing

Participants will learn and perform two a cappella pieces that are fun, meaningful, and empowering, perfect for singers of all ages and experience levels:

  • “It’s the Music That Brings Us Together” Arranged by: Clay Hine
An original barbershop arrangement celebrating connection, harmony, and the joy of singing as a group. This song shows how music can bring people together across generations and experience levels.

  • Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae, Arranged by: Donna Metsger & Sofia Layarda
A fun, upbeat Pop-Soul a cappella arrangement with an empowering message about being yourself, letting go of pressure, and enjoying the moment.

What’s a “Tag”?

A tag is a short, exciting musical ending often sung a cappella on its own or at the end of a song. It’s one of the most fun parts of barbershop singing, full of rich harmonies and big sound. A favorite for singers and audiences alike. Workshop participants will learn and perform a tag with the chorus during the show.
