  • I first joined Sweet Adelines in 1990 with Mt. Laurel Chorus, where we won regionally and I experienced my first international competition in Indianapolis. In the mid-1990s, I became a member of Sound of New England Chorus, earning additional regional titles and the thrill of competing internationally once again.

In 2000, I helped form Millennium Magic, and I’ve loved the intimacy and creativity of the small chorus experience ever since. Each group has given me unique and exciting opportunities that have shaped my life—the music I’ve learned, the ear training I’ve developed, the arranging I’ve explored, the vocalist I’ve become, and the lifelong friendships I’ve made—all thanks to Sweet Adelines.

In 2022 I retired to Holly Ridge, North Carolina, after moving from Southington, CT. And yes—Millennium Magic is THAT special! I happily make the commute north every 4–6 weeks to stay involved. I’m married with two grown daughters: one in Connecticut who sings with Millennium Magic, and one in Colorado who joined us for our 2019 international gold medal performance in New Orleans.

I haven’t found another group that fills my bucket like Millennium Magic. As musical director, I’m part of several teams that keep our well-oiled machine running. I love our shared commitment to excellence and the joy of achieving our goals together. Sure, we sometimes run off the rails—but we always find our way back. Our mix of personalities and talents makes this group not only exceptional but also exciting and fun.

We’re still standing—and reaching for that unreachable star!
